About DHD TV

Don’t Hate Debate TV is the first-ever AI-driven news channel that doesn’t take sides. In a world where shouting has replaced listening and civil discourse feels like a lost art, we’re here to model what respectful disagreement actually looks like. Civil Sally and Blunt Ben discuss controversies in the news from left, right and center sources, often bringing in guests, and then ask the audience to weigh in.

What We Believe

Most people don’t want to fight they want to feel heard.

At DHD TV, we’re creating a space where disagreement doesn’t mean disrespect. Our goal is simple:

To tackle the most divisive issues of our time with empathy, structure, and just enough edge to keep it real.

This isn’t about left or right. It’s about right or wrong ways to talk to each other.

We believe debate can be engaging without being enraging and Gen Z is hungry for that. We’re not here to cancel people. We’re here to change the culture and maybe even go viral doing it.

The Spark

Don’t Hate Debate was born in December 2023 after working with Gen Z students who admitted they didn’t know how to disagree civilly—especially about hot-button topics like Israel and Palestine. We tried to organize Crossfire-style debates it no avail.

The Insight

Over 80% of Americans say the biggest issue in society today is that “we can’t talk to each other.” Nearly two-thirds of Gen Z agree that civil discourse is essential—but they also admit they don’t know how to do it. That gap is where DHD TV steps in.

The Pivot

Six months in, we realized that students weren’t yet ready to have these conversations—so we turned to influencers. We launched the Don’t Hate Debate Olympics, pairing an Israeli and Saudi athlete to train together and talk on camera. But 24 hours before the shoot, one side crossed a line and the other walked away—with grace. That moment said more than any panel ever could.

The Risk

In August, we didn’t give up—we created Comics for Conversation, because sometimes laughter opens the door to dialogue. But when three pro-Palestinian comedians were bullied online after agreeing to participate, the backlash proved our point: people are afraid to talk—but deeply hungry for spaces where they safely can.

The Big Idea

By late 2024, we had a radical thought: if humans weren’t ready to model civil discourse, maybe AI could. That’s how Civil Sally and Blunt Ben were born—AI agents trained to respectfully debate real news stories from across the political spectrum.

Sally brings empathy.

Ben calls it like it is.

Together, they show how to disagree without disrespect.

Don’t Hate Debate TV is more than a show. It’s a movement.

Join us as we bring civil discourse back—one brave conversation at a time.
